Ortal Minimal Series
A MINIMALIST APPROACH TO TRADITIONAL GAS FIREPLACE DESIGN.
The Minimal Series by Ortal features a fresh take on traditional fireplace design - with a completely frameless fire viewing area, all emphasis is placed on the realistic burn pattern and beautifully detailed ceramic log set.
HEAT BARRIER "COOL WALL" TECHNOLOGY.
Ortal fireplaces are distinctive in the Canadian market because they have moved beyond the “clean face” trim typical of direct-vent gas fireplaces available today, to adopt a truly frameless design. Eliminating the metal trim that usually frames single-sided direct vent gas fireplaces enables the Ortal firebox to sit slightly recessed when installed (by 1-inch). This recess creates a chase above the firebox that naturally draws heat that radiates from the fireplace, and redirects it up and out of convection grills installed above or adjacent to the fireplace, or through a reveal incorporated into the fireplace wall structure.
This air re-direct serves to reduce the amount of heat that would typically accumulate on the wall above your fireplace, instead forcing the heat to circulate efficiently throughout the room. This special design allows you to hang your artwork or television directly above the fireplace without risking any heat damage.
