1. How long will it take to install a hearth product?
Most hearth products can be installed in one or a couple days. Larger jobs, such as piping homes for natural gas or installation of central heating systems may take longer.
^top2. Will I need a chimney or outside venting?
By code, all combustion products require some sort of venting system. Most natural gas and propane products can be direct vented through an outside wall. Pellet stoves can also be direct vented.
There are also some new products that burn so efficiently they do not require any venting, check out Planika and EcoSmart lines. These products are apartment and condo ready.

To ensure safe and efficient operation, all fuel burning appliances should be inspected and cleaned annually.

We sell only EPA certified wood burning appliances that meet or exceed Canadian emission standards. In addition, when you burn wood, you utilize a locally produced and renewable resource, rather than a non-renewable fossil fuel. These fuels are considered to be carbon neutral.

All natural gas and propane appliances are manufactured under the strictest safety standards and are CGA and CSA certified. These products must be installed and tested by licensed technicians. Our factory trained gas technicians are fully licensed and certified to install and service our full product line.

Almost all propane appliances can be easily converted to natural gas at minimal cost. Our sales staff would be pleased to provide you with more information on this. Please note such conversions must be completed by a licensed gas technician.

BTU stands for British thermal unit and represents the amount of energy required to raise one pound of water, one degree Fahrenheit. A 100-watt light bulb would produce 341 BTUs of heat energy.

Yes. We would be pleased to special order any product we do not carry in stock.

Yes. Most manufacturers provide various trim kits that allow you to customize your product’s appearance.
As well we specialize in Fireplace Makeovers and/or custom surrounds for our fireplaces. Your imagination is the limit on what type of custom look we can achieve.
