• 1.  Touch small logs or branches with the Looftlighter (or put a small piece of newspaper between the logs).
• 2.  Draw back the Looftlighter when flames appear.
• 3.  Continue pointing the Looftlighter in the same direction.

CREATE A DRAUGHT:

• To create a better draught in the chimney before lighting a fire, open the flue and point the Looftlighter upwards inside the fireplace. Push the button for about 30 seconds. Then go through steps 1 – 3.

Always make a pile of the coal or briquettes

• 1.  Touch the pile of coal with the Looftlighter.
• 2.  Draw back the Looftlighter a little bit when sparks appear (after 10-20 sec).
• 3.  Continue to point the Looftlighter in the same direction for at least 60 seconds.
